Most wallpapers / backgrounds are available for download in 1280 x 1024 resolution.

In an effort to reduce page load time, excessive bandwidth usage, and reduce server storage space I have decided to only keep wallpapers / backgrounds available in a pixel ratio of 1280 x 1024. This is my current screen resolution and a good starting point to scale from to match the other common resolutions.
So you need to know what size wallpaper / background you need for your computer?
Windows:
1. Right click on an empty, icon free area of your desktop.

Click Properties.
3.
Select the Settings tab in the box that appears.
4.
You will see a section that is named 'Screen Resolution'.
5.
The numbers that are displayed is your current screen resolution.
Ex: 1280 by 1024 pixels
Mac:
1. Open the System Preferences (either from the Dock or from the Apple menu).
2. Open the Displays Panel and choose the Display tab.
3. On the left of the Displays tab you can see your current resolution from the list.
