The purpose of this site

I created this website to share with my visitors all of the wallpapers and backgrounds I have made for computers as well as cell phones and other devices.

I am also planning to implement a way in which other visitors to this site can submit their own creations of wallpapers and / or backgrounds for computers and handheld devices such as cell phones and pdas. While I currently have a manual submission process in place, I hope to eventually make this fully automated.

Photoshop Tutorials

I will be posting a few tutorials on how I made most of my wallpapers. Commonly these will apply to the wallpapers found in the Abstract gallery as most of them can be reproduced using filters, blending options, and layers. This essentially means you could recreate the particular background using your own preferred colors and styles.

Submit your works

Are you a designer with a few wallpapers of your own? Consider sharing them with the other visitors of this site by submitting them here. I will review each submission to make sure the content is appropriate. Please also understand that not all submitted wallpapers will be accepted and displayed.

Design Philosophy

I have been designing websites for 12 years now and have recently earned my degree in web design. All of the exposure to design through school has really fueled my creative spirit. I enjoy creating wallpapers / backgrounds because they allow me to design without worrying about the limits of HTML. I also enjoy the fact taht I am able to provide something useful to others for free.

Normally when I design a new wallpaper / background or website I start with deciding on a theme. Then, because I'm color blind, I decide wether the design will incorporate color or be greyscale. After that, there are no rules. I design what I like, until I am happy with the result.
